The trenchless sewer lateral replacement process reduces the cost of replacing a sewer pipe and installs a better product in the ground than the traditional open cut or trenching procedures. Replacing your sewer can take a toll on the exterior property of your home. Trenchless sewer repairs are designed to limit the amount of property and landscaping damage done to your home when sewer repairs are necessary. Using advanced equipment, the experienced plumbers at Seattle Sewer Company can evaluate the cause of your sewer damage and repair it with minimal damage to your property.
We dig two holes, one at the beginning and one at the end of the line, and insert a cable into the existing line. The cable is attached to our pulling equipment at one end and a steel splitting wedge at the other. The ram then pulls the splitting head through the old pipe, bursting it as it goes. The head brings the new polyethylene pipe behind it until the line is replaced. This process is low-impact, completely trenchless and generally eliminates the need for digging long and deep trenches that disturb large areas of your property.
